Last October Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was in Germany for a series of Concerts promoting the Sufi Music Legacy of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. In an interview with Waslat Hasrat-Nazimi Rahat conveyed his plans about promoting peace through Sufi Music on the paths of his Uncle.

On being asked about his favourite singers he disclosed that he was a big fan of  Michel Jackson, who was himself a big fan of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

naheed nusrat passes awayNusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s wife “Naheed Nusrat” lost her battle with cancer yesterday and passed way in Toronto,Canada. She was suffering from Cancer from last one month and was admitted in Credit Valley Hospital where she took her last breath. Naheed Nusrat was daughter of Fateh Ali Khan’s brother, Salamat Ali Khan and was married to NFAK in 1971. Nusrat always considered his wife and his daughter, lucky charms and attributed his success to their prayers. After NFAK’s death she continued a quiet life in Toronto and was ocassionally seen at Rahat’s concerts and usually avoided media. May her soul rest in peace [Read More]
