He has given Jazz tributes to Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on several occasions recreating singles like “Ganj-E-Shakar”, “Sahib Teri Bandia” “Maki Madni” etc from Album “The Last Prophet”.  In 2002, Rahat guested with The Derek Trucks Band on the song Maki Madni for Trucks’ album, Joyful Noise.
