The Nusrat Online Official youtube channel has been permanently deleted by Youtube last week despite our best efforts to save so, owing to multiple copyright strikes by labels.

We are working on an alternate mechanism to upload / showcase all NFAK videos at one place searchable and tagged, and will soon get back with further updates.

Read it as:

sabre besyar bebayad , pedare pire falak ra

ta degar madare giti , cho to farzand bezayad . saadi

Translation:

The father of  universe must wait a loooong time

It may again, mother of universe  give birth to another one like you.

This legendary singer was born on 13 October 1948 in Lyallpur (later renamed Faisalabad), Pakistan.Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was one of the greatest Qawwals (Sufi singers) ever been on this earth. One of the most popular singers in the Indian sub-continent, Khan predominately sang Qawwali*, the music of devotional Sufism, but incorporated other forms including Khyal (traditional classical) to produce a unique style that appealed to followers of all religions. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was a genius singer of Qawwali. Like no other, Nusrat’s performances transcend religious boundaries and his music caresses the soul with its passion.

I have not seen Allah or Muhammad or Ali Nor have seen Krishna Neither have I heard the Bansuri of Mohan

And yet when I hear you sing Oh Nusrat I am convinced that there must have been Allah & Muhammad & Ali And Krishna & the maddening Bansuri of Mohan

I have not heard Tansen & Baiju Bawra & Tana Riri

Nor have I seen Deepak Raag lighting up lamps and Raag Megh bringing thunder & rains
